We’ve got BIG news happening at the bayou — Tiana’s Bayou that is!
Disney has been really hustling with putting the finishing touches on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in preparation for its opening this summer. Disney’s been keeping our excitement amped up by introducing us to the new critters we’ll find throughout the ride and even hiding Tiana’s delivery truck in the queue line. But now, Disney’s announced MORE noticeable details about the shops you’ll be able to visit when you stop by!
We’ve been keeping up with the latest changes at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and noticed a rather big one recently! The former Briar Patch shop doors were scrimmed over and we could hear construction ongoing just beyond them.
While that has since changed and the scrim has come down, it’s all been in preparation to make way for the critters to move on in! Disney gave us our first look at 2 new stores we can expect to see open at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
First, say hello to the Critter Co-Op! This cozy little store has all the charm of the musical friends you’ll find throughout the new ride.
We even got a peek at a few of the critters’ “house rules” which we feel will be fairly easy to follow like “all critters welcome”, “there’s no such thing as a wrong note” and the dress code is “swap casual”.
Additionally, Disney has shared that the former Splash Down photos store which used to be the exit gift shop for the previous ride, has officially been named Tiana’s Bayou General (and we think it’s got quite a ring to it)!
A closer look at the sign also mentions groceries, housewares, dry goods, and more which makes us so excited to see the inside when it opens!
While we don’t have much more to go on yet beyond the name announcements, it seems like we’re getting “closer and closer every day” to finally being able to experience this brand-new ride opening soon!
