Disney has been dropping a lot of details about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure recently.

With the ride set to open SOON in Magic Kingdom and then later this year in Disneyland, we’re getting a lot more information on the ride’s gorgeous animatronics, its critter characters, and more. Well, we hope you’re ready for MORE details because Disney just unveiled four MORE new characters that will appear on the ride.
This is the third round of critters Disney has unveiled for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. These four, though, are all frogs — well, musically-inclined frogs, to be exact. These frogs will be bringing the jazzy sounds and rhythms of Afro-Cuban music to life on the ride. Like the other characters on the ride, these frogs all have stories of their own.

First, there’s Felipe the Frog, who is the band leader and piano player for this group of four. He is also the owner of an exclusive bayou nightclub, where you might find the likes of fireflies dancing the night away. He’s an “old-school family guy, especially to his ‘family’ in the band.”

Mayra the Frog can play a flower blossom like a trumpet and it’s recommended that you stick around and listen for one of her “toe-tapping solos.” She’s described as the most ambitious of the group and has been playing the flower blossom trumpet since she was a tadpole.

You’ll find Mondo the Frog on the conga drums, which he “made as a happy accident when his favorite bottle cap got stuck on his second-favorite acorn.” He’s got a natural rhythm and is “very copacetic and accepts what comes.”

Last, but certainly not least is Isabel the Green Tree Frog who loves “getting lost in the music playing her congas.” She’s the youngest of the fore, but she loves “going with the flow” and playing those drums all night.

Disney points out that not EVERY critter you’ll meet on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a musician. You’ll also meet some Gloria and Delores the Frogs who are best friends who like to watch people floating on their logs down the bayou. There’s also Lari the Armadillo who is mischievous and turns up pretty much anywhere you don’t expect him to. He also “has a habit of ‘borrowing’ things that aren’t his.”
Disney has not yet revealed an official opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World or Disneyland, but we have a feeling a date will be announced soon. We’ll keep you updated, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
