WARNING: EPCOT Will Be Extra Chaotic in June

Are you heading to EPCOT soon?

If so, we’re so pumped for you! EPCOT has a lot going for it like the rides, the festivals, and enjoying drinks from around the world! The only “downside” is that there are going to be a lot of people there (Disney World doesn’t really have that off-season anymore), and if you’re planning on heading there in June, be forewarned. It could be EXTRA CHAOTIC!

As we were saying, EPCOT is popular, and for good reason. So, if you’re planning on heading there in June, you need to keep in mind that it’s most likely going to be NEXT LEVEL chaotic, and there are a couple of reasons why. Let’s talk about it!

Test Track

If you didn’t know, Test Track is about to undergo a complete reimagining. Disney Parks recently shared a glimpse of the reimagined Test Track on Facebook through concept art.

The art showcases a new awning, vibrant LED lights, and what appears to be the ride continuing to zip outside the building. Disney also confirmed that the current Test Track will close for refurbishment on June 17th!

At the moment, we don’t know how long the ride will be closed, but if the concept art is any indication, it looks like we’re expecting a significant makeover that will last a few months at the least.

All of that is to say that while this ride is sure to be INSANELY popular now all the way up to the closing date. So, if you want to ride it, plan accordingly!

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza

The long-awaited CommuniCore Hall and Plaza are finally opening on June 10th! This means that as of June 10th, we can FINALLY visit a fully transformed EPCOT. 

CommuniCore Hall will be the central hub for EPCOT’s festivals, featuring a demo kitchen, mixology bar, gallery, a new Mickey meet-and-greet location, and more! Hopefully festival favorites like classes and seminars will return as well!

Disney confirmed that CommuniCore Hall will be open year-round, offering a cool escape from the Florida heat. Disney described it as an “indoor space for you and your family to recharge.”

Also, outdoors, CommuniCore Plaza will provide a flexible space for everything from large concerts to smaller performances.

As you can imagine, there is so much excitement and hype for these spaces to finally be open, so if you’re coming in June, be prepared for some epic crowds.

New Mickey and Friends character meet-and-greet

As we said, there’s going to be a BRAND NEW Mickey Mouse character meet-and-greet location opening there soon! There will be a “beautiful mural of all things EPCOT past and present” with “a geometric exterior design inspired by Spaceship Earth, and the boss himself, Mickey Mouse, and his pals.”

Make sure to stop by and meet Mickey in this new location, and be ready for those long queues!

BREAKING: Details Shared for NEW Character Meet-and-Greet Space in EPCOT

New Encanto Sing-Along

If all of that wasn’t enough for you, from June 10th to September 6th, a NEW summer sing-along will be coming to EPCOT’s CommuniCore Plaza stage. Here, you can enjoy a musical rendition of the story of Encanto with Mirabel and Bruno!

The show will be called “¡Celebración Encanto!” and will happen periodically throughout the day. Get ready to sing “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” this June!
