Staying at a Disney World hotel isn’t cheap. Even their most affordable tier, the Value Hotels, can seem pricey compared with hotel rooms in other cities.

However, there is a way to stay at Disney’s hotels for cheaper. Yes, you can look for discounts on Disney’s website, or ask for the help of a travel agent, but if you’re looking to really save big, we have the solution for you.
Disney Vacation Club Members pay for a select amount of points each year that allow them to take the vacations that they do. Members are also allowed to bank points from one year to use on the next.

For example, let’s say you get 150 points each year, but you’re not taking a Disney World vacation this year. You can save your 150 points and use them the next year. But those Disney Vacation Club owners have another option if they don’t plan to use their points — they can rent them to those of us who don’t own DVC.

When you rent DVC Points, you’re essentially using extra points a DVC member has and will not be using. They put them up “for sale” on a reputable website like David’s Vacation Club Rentals (who we LOVE and highly recommend).

Then you, the non-DVC member, see that these points are for sale and can buy those points from the DVC member through the reputable site (so they’re making some money off the points they already paid for), therefore being able to book a room for much cheaper than what Disney has it listed for if you were just paying them.

This is the key to getting extremely fancy Disney Hotel rooms for cheaper than their listing price. If it sounds a little worrisome, like you’re breaking the rules, we can assure you that it’s perfectly acceptable when going through a reputable site like David’s Vacation Club Rentals. However, if you choose to go through another service for whatever reason, we IMPLORE you to do very heavy research on whether they’re a legit company or not.

This is an easy way to save THOUSANDS on a stunning, gorgeous Disney hotel room that may be out of your budget otherwise. It still won’t be cheaper than staying at a Value Resort hotel, but you will be saving some serious cash, which is very much worth it if you’re looking for a more elevated stay.
