Tour the CHEAPEST Rooms at Disney World’s Most Expensive Hotel

If there’s one Disney World hotel that’s the most deluxe of the deluxe resorts, it’s probably Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which happens to be Disney World’s most expensive hotel.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

We’ve had a chance to stay at the Grand Floridian in the past, and we’ve even had a chance to see the NEWEST rooms at the hotel, but now we’re going to show you what the cheapest rooms at this hotel are like.

Resort Atmosphere

You’ve probably seen tons of photos of the Grand Floridian, so you get that the atmosphere is straight-up Southern luxury. It’s a Victorian-style hotel located so close to Magic Kingdom that you can walk there (and see the fireworks at night). It’s also on the Monorail, meaning it’s a quick ride to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and the other Monorail resorts.

This hotel also has some great dining, including the priciest restaurant in all of Disney World, Victoria & Albert’s. However, other fine dining locations here include Citricos, Narcoossee’s, and the Grand Floridian Cafe. There’s also a counter service spot, Gasparilla Island Grill.

The hotel has two pools, as well as motorized boat rentals to cruise around the lagoon, fishing, specialty cruises, and more. There’s also a full-service spa. So yes, this place is what we’d call fancy.

Room Tour

Okay, a little disclaimer here: we stayed in one of the CHEAPEST rooms at the Grand Floridian, but the room is still pretty pricey. The Room is a Resort Studio with a Standard View, which can run AT LEAST $742 per night, although that rate will change depending on when you stay. These rooms have recently been refurbished and now have a Mary Poppins theme, so we saw them when Disney was previewing the new rooms.

Each room, which has two queen beds, are done up in blues, teals, and hints of gold. There’s also a whimsical rug underneath the beds, although the floors themselves are hardwood.

Each room also has a sofa and gorgeous Mary Poppins-themed artwork. These bright colors work so well.

Sofa and Artwork

That sofa also converts into a bed if you need an extra sleeping space for someone.

You want closet space? There’s plenty of it. The closet opens out into a shelved area, but there’s also space to hang up all your clothes that need hanging. You’ll also get robes when you stay in this room. An extra pillow and blanket are on the top closet shelf. Also, look at those pretty details next to the closet.

If you look up, you’ll see a pretty chandelier with glass birds.

Even the artwork on the walls is inspired by Mary Poppins. It’s subtle, but you can’t mistake those figures of Mary, Mr. Banks, and the Banks children.

Even the door that hides the mini-fridge is decorative. Disney didn’t skimp on details in these rooms.

Each room also includes a coffee and tea station and a patio or balcony. You’ll also find that you’re located close to the main building and pools.

So if you’d like to know if the least expensive room at the Grand Floridian could work for you and your group, now you know what to expect. We’ll be back with more Disney World hotel room tours, so check back with AllEars again soon.
