BAD NEWS About This Magic Kingdom Restaurant Right Now

When it comes to grabbing a bite to eat in Magic Kingdom, you’ve got plenty of options.

Between table-service restaurants, quick-service spots, and snack stands, chances are you aren’t too far from something delicious. But, if you were hoping to check out one place in particular — you might be out of luck!

Bad news, friends — as of October 2nd, Golden Oak Outpost is unexpectedly closed in Magic Kingdom.

There was a sign on the window that read, “Golden Oak Outpost is currently closed. For your dining pleasure, please visit Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café.” Oddly enough, the restaurant was still listed as having normal operating hours on the My Disney Experience app.

We spoke to a Cast Member who didn’t share why the snack spot was closed, but said that it would remain that way for the rest of the day.

When Golden Oak Outpost is open, it usually operates under limited hours and you can grab some of our favorite snacks like loaded chicken strips and chili cheese fries!

For now, you can grab a quick bite at Pecos Bill’s, Westward Ho, Sleepy Hollow, Friar’s Nook, or plenty of other quick service spots in Magic Kingdom.
