I Wasn't Gonna Spend Christmas Day at Disney World but This 40% OFF Hotel Deal Means I Have No Choice

Okay, so we might normally recommend that you DON’T visit Disney World during the week of Christmas, but we might have actually changed our minds.

Why? Well, Disney World just announced a TON of hotel discounts that could help you save BIG on holiday vacations. If you’ve been paying attention, you might realize that this is pretty rare — Disney World hotels are usually more expensive during the holiday season, but this year, things are different.

Disney World is normally VERY crowded during holidays. However, recently, we visited the parks during Memorial Day weekend and noticed that the normal holiday crowds were WAY down.

We think that this might end up being the case for the holiday season, or maybe Disney is anticipating lower crowds this winter. We rarely see any kind of major holiday discounts and deals in late December, but this year, Disney World released FOUR new hotel deals for the holiday season, including one for Annual Passholders that lets them save 40% off hotels from December 10th to December 25th (Christmas Day) at select deluxe hotels.

So this tells us that there are possibly far fewer bookings for the holiday season this year than Disney has seen in the past, and the company is trying to make up for that by offering cheaper rooms for the holiday season (of course, we’re just speculating, but this is certainly a rare occurrence!).

This huge discount is basically hinting to us that Disney World could be emptier — even on Christmas Day — than it’s been in a really long time. So although our normal advice would be to avoid Disney World during late December, we’re going to turn around and say the opposite — these deals are almost too good to ignore. We’re sure there are plenty of you who’ve never visited during the holidays because of the higher prices, so here’s your chance to finally see Disney World at its festive best.

Of course, these great deals could have the opposite effect and result in MORE people visiting during the holiday season, but even if that’s the case, you’re still getting a better price on hotel rooms than you would normally this time of year.
