Something Weird Is Happening in Disney World

Alright, we’re past spring break crowds, and summer is approaching.

Cinderella Castle

Summer means that the temperatures rise, humidity makes you feel like you’re swimming while you walk, and kids are out of school, which means crowds are INTENSE. But kids aren’t out yet, and crowds are looking…strange.

Um…where are the people?

Magic Kingdom feels much more empty than you would expect on a May day in Disney World. We’re not complaining, but it is strange to see.

…Hello?

Right now, some kids are finishing up exams in school but won’t be done for a few more weeks, and college students are just finishing up, so many families aren’t vacationing right now.

A little busier in Fantasyland

Things are a little busier in Fantasyland and near the castle, but nothing like the heavy crowds we saw during spring break. We even saw some low wait times at popular attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Haunted Mansion.

Not to mention — it’s a Sunday! Weekends are notoriously busier than weekdays typically, so this really has us scratching our heads. If you’re headed into the park soon, keep this in mind, but know that those summer crowds could be on their way any day now.
