The day has finally come!
Animal Kingdom is celebrating Earth Day and its 25th Anniversary in a variety of ways today — new snacks, rare character meet and greets, and new merchandise, among so much more. But there’s one character meet and greet we were first told about weeks ago that’s FINALLY happening — it’s time to meet Moana!
The arrival of a Moana meet and greet in Animal Kingdom was announced in the middle of March, but we just knew it was “coming soon.” Today, thanks to a Disney media event, we got to see where this new meet and greet will be taking place and meet Moana ourselves!
Moana now has her own area to greet guests that is themed to her movie. The backdrop includes a sail that has artwork inspired by the film, making the area really feel like it belongs to her!
We had a great time meeting her for the first time, and we love this spot for her.
This meet and greet area is located right before the bridge to DinoLand — this is where Kevin used to greet guests from a distance. If you want to know when Moana will be meeting here, check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date times!
