If you’ve ever celebrated the holidays at Disney World, you know it can get crowded.
While Christmas itself wasn’t too bad this year, there have been quite a bit of crowds in the following days. You’d think that the parks would be LESS busy after New Year’s, but we’re actually seeing the opposite today! Come see what we know.
While the end of the year was busy, many Annual Passes have been blocked out of the parks, tempering the crowds just a bit. As of today, the holiday blockout days that spanned all of the parks have been lifted and we’re seeing some serious crowds and wait times as a result! Let’s take a look at some of the crowds and wait times we’ve seen today!
Magic Kingdom is busy today, guys! Look at these crowds in Adventureland.
The line for Pirates of the Caribbean extends outside quite a bit.
This line’s wait time was at 55 minutes when we walked by.
Even EPCOT was super busy today, and there isn’t even a festival going on right now!
The Test Track line also wrapped outside of the building.
There were some long lines, even at EPCOT today. Let’s take a look at what we saw.
These lines seem busy for the beginning of January. So much for a relaxing short wait to get on Living with the Land. It was at 45 minutes!
While Mission Space saw longer lines than usual this past week, we’re surprised to see it at 80 minutes today!
Remy’s Ratatouille’s Adventure was up to 150 minutes!
If you were hoping for some thinning crowds this week, it looks like that isn’t happening quite yet. Passholders have been eagerly awaiting to get back into the parks. Stay tuned as we keep you updated at the parks!

So as far as lines go hold up the standby line and let lighting lane buyers in, trying to artificially increase wait times. In the hopes of selling more lighting lane passes. We were there when there was that short time with no fast pass of lighting lane and thunder mt. Line was 1/2 way to the haunted mansion but it was a 20 minute wait. Pirates was out toward Aladdin but it took us 17 minutes, same with space mt and the haunted mansion. We need to go back to just lines, letskeep it simple with park passes costing $200 with parking added they are getting enough money.
