Welcome to November, when Disney embraces the holidays in full force and Disney World starts turning up red, green, and gold!

But that’s not the only news we have to share from the week. So, in case you missed anything, we’re breaking down the five biggest Disney news stories of the week.
The Holidays In Disney World
Halloween is officially over, and although we saw a little bit of the Christmas creep at Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT, November 1st marked the day that Magic Kingdom got its holiday makeover. That includes the big Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A.

In addition, the Dapper Dans are sporting their holiday suits, the gingerbread carousel has arrived at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and the Grand Floridian Resort has started building its gingerbread house!

We’ve also spotted a TON of new holiday merchandise in Disney World.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Snacks
Speaking of the holidays, the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is on November 8th, and we just got the list of exclusive snacks that will be available during the special ticketed event.

Guests attending the party will get to indulge in a Sugar Plum Shake, a Holiday Dinner Dog, an Apple Cider Float, and more!

Fantasmic! Returns To Disney World
Fantasmic! has been closed since 2020, but it has officially returned. We managed to check out an early preview, but the show was stopped midway through due to bad weather.

However, the show HAS changed, and now includes some new scenes with Princess Tiana, Hercules, Mirabel Madrigal, and Mulan. There are some new action scenes, too!
Here’s What CHANGED at Fantasmic! in Disney World
Plastic Bags Disappearing From Disney World
This week, we noticed that plastic shopping bags were disappearing from many shops in Disney World. We spoke with Cast Members in those shops who told us the bags had been removed (not out of stock, but actually removed). You can, however, purchase reusable shopping bags at a slightly discounted price at those shops: The small bag is now $1 and the medium is $1.50.

This is something to keep in mind if you might need a bag for purchases in Disney World. You can bring your own reusable shopping bag from home or buy one on-site.

Movie News
We’ve got some Disney movie news to share. There’s a brand NEW trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, the long-awaited sequel to Avatar! This movie will arrive in theaters on December 16th.
Speaking of sequels, another long-awaited sequel, Disenchanted — which is the sequel to Enchanted — ALSO got a new trailer!
You’ll be able to catch Disenchanted on Disney+ on November 24th! So much to look forward to!
