When you’re visiting Disney World during the holidays, there are certain things you’re certainly looking out for.
There are festive treats, themed merchandise, and elaborate holiday decorations at the parks! But, the parks aren’t the only spot to deck the halls during the season. The resorts have their own holiday traditions as well. And the huge annual gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is officially back!
Each year, the Beach Club Resort brings a giant gingerbread carousel to their lobby, with themes like Donald Duck or Peter Pan. Last year, the carousel was themed to The Little Mermaid!
This year’s theme is Disney Princesses! You’ll find an Elsa horse with her ice palace on the back…
…and a Jasmine horse with the Genie’s lamp. Look at all of the details here!
There’s also a Belle horse with a nod to the iconic yellow dress and enchanted rose…
…and there’s a Tiana horse! The gingerbread creation is not 100% complete yet — it is still being assembled in the lobby.
Near the carousel, there is Santa’s Nice List along with a note that says the pastry chefs have spent 600 hours working on this display. Wow!
Disney’s Beach Club isn’t the only resort to build their own gingerbread display! Each year, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort also builds a life-size gingerbread house, where they sell tons of different gingerbread and chocolate treats.
