PHOTOS: See the Progress on the Gingerbread House at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort

We hope you’ve already ordered your new stretchy pants for the holiday season (we certainly have!).

A TON of new eats and treats have arrived at Disney World to celebrate Thanksgiving, and we can’t wait to try some of the snacks coming for even more holiday festivities in the parks. But, over at one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts, Cast Members are working on assembling a HUGE snack — the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House!

Each year, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa sees plenty of visitors during the holiday season — and it’s all (well, mostly) because of the GIANT Gingerbread House display! We’ve been keeping up with the progress, and it looks like Cast Members have started working on decorating the structure.

The gingerbread shingles and siding have been added, and it looks like Cast Members have started working on adding some of the finer details and embellishments.

It takes plenty of work — and Cast Members — to create these impressive displays year after year, and we love getting the chance to check them out. And, when we stopped by they were giving out free samples of gingerbread — how cool is that?!

Here’s an overview so you can really get an idea of just how BIG this display is!

We’ll keep an eye on the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House for updates — but this isn’t the only piece of gingerbread art you’ll want to see. Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you can see a gingerbread CAROUSEL.
