In case you haven’t noticed, Disney World has been BUSY this year.
Now that travel restrictions have been lifted around the world, there has been an influx in travel over the past few months. Because of this, Disney World didn’t really get a slow season this year — we’ve noticed LONG wait times and major crowds. But how are the crowds this Memorial Day weekend? Holidays are notorious for having some of the highest crowd levels, so let’s see what Disney World looks like today!
Magic Kingdom
You may be surprised to learn that the wait times and crowds felt pretty light in Magic Kingdom today! It was a little busy near the entrance and on Main Street, U.S.A., but nothing out of the ordinary.
The park was nowhere near as busy as spring break time according to our reporters — the crowds felt manageable overall.
Some areas were more congested near popular attractions, however some areas felt like a ghost town including Liberty Square.
There were some long lines at rides like Splash Mountain…
…and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
We can’t complain too much about the crowds
EPCOT
We noticed EPCOT wasn’t overly crowded either! The crowds seemed to disperse throughout the park.
However, there were a few predictable hot spots when it came to crowds — one being the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction! This is the line for the gift shop, Treasures of Xandar.
We also spotted a looooonggg Lightning Lane line over at Test Track. As a reminder, the Lightning Lane and Genie+ do not guarantee that you will walk onto a ride, but that you will have an expedited wait time compared to the stand-by. So if you visit a fan-favorite attraction like Test Track that is typically busy all day, it may take a little longer than you would expect to get through the Lightning Lane.

Some smaller attractions had slightly longer lines today, but none of them were outstanding. We noticed quite a few people at Living with the Land when we passed by!
Although the lines were not too long this holiday, you can skip the line using Genie+. We’ve used it MANY times on our visits to the parks, so be sure to check out our biggest tips for using the new skip-the-line service. Not every holiday is this relaxed in Disney World, so we’ve also got tips on how to avoid the crowds! Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney World tips and updates.
