Not a fan of crowds? Well then, our experience getting to Magic Kingdom this morning would NOT be for you!

Between the Super Bowl on Sunday and Valentine’s Day on Monday, there’s a lot to look forward to over the next few days. And based on the crowds and wait times we’ve recently seen, it seems like a LOT of people are choosing to celebrate in Disney World!
This morning, we headed out to Magic Kingdom to see what’s new. And we hit our first crowds of the day before we even made it to the entrance!

There were some seriously long lines at the Transportation and Ticket Center when we got there this morning.

Magic Kingdom opened at 9AM this morning and we got to the Transportation and Ticket Center at 9:20AM, so these were the post-rope drop crowds!

Once we made it through security, there were long lines of guests waiting for both the Monorail…

…and the Ferry to get to Magic Kingdom.

It looks like patience is going to be key in the parks today! We’ll continue to be on the lookout for more updates around Disney World, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest news!

We were there all last week and I forgot it was early February! Crowds were more like March or early April… lots of big groups, mostly cheerleaders, in town, too. Also, lots of foreign guests finally able to travel to U.S. Result? LOTS of crowds. Just need to build that into your planning…
I agree Mk(2/7) was a nightmare and yes we were there by 9 am took 45 minutes to get through security and lines before we actually made it in the park. I’ve been there in Feb before and crowds were low. Do kids go to school anymore? It was like summer there. Epcot(2/8) was more doable even in the rain it was pretty crowded.
What in the world is bringing in these crowds at this time of year? We were there last week and it was unbearable.
