What’s better than some delicious ice cream? FREE delicious ice cream, of course! Today only, you can get free or discounted ice cream all across the United States, and we’re showing you how!
Today, July 20th, 2025, is National Ice Cream Day! This celebration of the world-famous dessert dates back to 1984 and features free ice cream and ice cream deals at specific locations all over the country. Per several reports, there are at least 16 restaurants and retail locations where you can take advantage of this deliciously amazing day!

If you want free ice cream, head to the following places:
- Burger King — Royal Perks members can get a free Soft Serve ice cream with the purchase of $1 or more on July 20th.
- Dairy Queen — On July 20th, DQ Rewards members can get a free Dilly Bar with an order of $1 or more placed through the DQ App or website. A Dilly Bar is vanilla soft serve dipped in a crunchy coating of chocolate, cherry, or butterscotch. Participating locations vary, and the free Dilly Bar is limited to one per DQ Rewards member.
- Dippin’ Dots — On July 20th Dippin’ Dots is giving away free mini cups of Dippin’ Dots (any flavor) during a two-hour window. The first 100 people in line will also get a free souvenir take-home cup. To learn more about hours and participating locations, check out the Dippin’ Dots locator on its website.
- Friendly’s — Friendly’s Fan Club Rewards members can receive a free cone or dish of ice cream on July 20th! Non-members can still get a 90-cent single scoop cone or dish either in-store or to-go.
- Graeter’s — Graeter’s is offering Sweet Rewards Loyalty Program members $1.55 single-dip sugar cones, and children can submit a completed coloring sheet for the Coloring Contest by July 31st and get a free scoop of ice cream!
- Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream — On July 20th, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is allowing customers to add Sundae Fudge Sauce to any order for free.
- Marble Slab Creamery — On July 20th, loyalty members will receive a free small ice cream offer that’s valid for seven days.
- My/Mochi Ice Cream — On July 20th, anyone can enter to win a year’s supply of ice cream if they follow My/Mochi on Instagram, like a post, comment with summer plans, and then tag a friend.
- Petco — On July 20th, Petco is offering free pup cups of ice cream in-store!
- Popsicle — The Popsicle brand is offering buy-one-get-one-free deals at Target, Publix, and Kroger, all of July 2025.
- 16 Handles — On July 20th, 16 Handles app users can get a free soft-serve treat (up to $5) at participating locations.

Additionally, some restaurants and brands are offering deals that’ll help you save on ice cream. They are as follows:
- Baskin-Robbins — From July 20th through July 26th, 2025, Baskin-Robbins Rewards members can get $5 off orders of $20 or more (if they are placed through third-party delivery).
- Dunkin’ — On July 20th, Rewards members will earn 3x points on Frozen Beverages. They will also be offered $3 medium Refreshers.
- Klondike Bar — For all of July, Klondike is offering digital coupons for its bars and treats across Fetch, iBotta, and Walmart Cash.
- Talenti — Through July 20th, Target Circle is offering a buy-one-get-one-50%-off deal on Talenti gelato and sorbetto. Additionally, Wakefern is offering a 2-for-$9 promo on Talenti followed by a 2-for-$10 deal throughout July.
- Van Leeuwen — Van Leeuwen is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Honeycomb flavor by offering $3 scoops of Honeycomb at all shops nationwide from 12 PM to 2 PM ET on July 20th.
