One of our best tips for saving time in Disney World is to use Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience app.

With Mobile Order, you don’t have to wait in line to order snacks and meals from quick-service restaurants. Instead, you’ll choose a restaurant and arrival time and place your order using your smartphone. At the designated time, you can return to the restaurant and let them know you’ve arrived. Then your food will come out and you can start chowing down! But Disney World just extended Mobile Order to more than snacks and drinks. Now you can use it to get a popular souvenir in Magic Kingdom as well!
Starting today, November 17th, you’ll see a new addition to the restaurant page on Mobile Order.

Along with the normal Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café option, there’s also a Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café – Souvenir Release. If you select that, you can order a souvenir for pick-up at a later time. There are instructions on the app that explain how to use this new feature.

You’ll select “Order Food” like you normally would with Mobile Order, and then choose the Souvenir Release option. Order the souvenir and choose an arrival time.

When you return and get the notification that your order is ready, you can head to the pick-up window to collect your souvenir.

The souvenir that’s available at Cosmic Ray’s is the 50th Anniversary Minnie Mouse Sipper. We’ve seen a LOT of 50th Anniversary merchandise selling out quickly in the parks, so this is a good way to buy the Minnie sipper without the hassle of rushing to various snack carts and worrying about it selling out.

The sipper costs $15.99 and comes filled with a soda of your choice. You can also choose a later arrival window so that you don’t have to carry the sipper around the parks all day. We haven’t seen Disney doing this with other souvenirs and locations yet — the sippers were previously only available at popcorn carts and other snack stands.
