The Day Is Here! Typhoon Lagoon Is Now Open at Disney World

Summer is just around the corner, and Orlando is starting to get hot. We’re always looking for ways to beat the heat, and heading to the pool is a great way to do that.

Get ready to make a splash because this water park at Disney World has officially reopened!

As of May 1st, Typhoon Lagoon is now open! Woohoo!

Blizzard Beach, the second water park at Disney World, will be closed till May 20th, and then something that hasn’t happened since 2019 is coming back. BOTH Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open at the same time.

From May 21st to September 7th, 2025, both water parks will be open for twice the fun.

Over at Typhoon Lagoon, everyone came out to celebrate the reopening, including our favorite alien, Stitch!

The food locations like Leaning Palms, Happy Landings Ice Cream, and Let’s Go Slurpin’ are open as well, and we can’t wait to get some of our favorite snacks again.

Guests staying at a Disney Resort get to go to Typhoon Lagoon for FREE! On your check-in day, Disney will give you tickets for everyone registered in the room so you can enjoy the water parks. This ticket is only valid on the day of check-in, and is so nice when you’re so excited about your Disney World vacation that you can’t possibly stay in the hotel and wait to go to the parks.

If you’re looking for a fun, special event to go to this summer, Disney H20 Glow After Hours will be available on select nights, where you can hop on slides, boogie with a DJ, and eat free snacks! If that Florida sunshine is too much during the day, this is a fantastic way to enjoy the water parks without the beating sun and with lower crowds.
