Holiday decorations are already going up at Hollywood Studios!

Things have been a little quiet on the Disney front, but that’s not to say there hasn’t been some pretty big news this week. And if you’ve been busy gearing up for Halloween weekend, you might have missed some of it.

So we’re here to get you caught up. Here are the biggest Disney stories you might have missed this week!

Disney World Holiday Eats

With Halloween soon to be over, we’re about to go into full-on holiday mode at Disney World. The parks are already starting to get decorated, and Disney released a full list of 50 foods and snacks that will be available during the holiday season.

From a Christmas Cookie Milkshake to a holiday Mickey Cinnamon Roll to a Reindeer Mousse, we’re ready to dig into all of the fun holiday treats.

Port Orleans — French Quarter Reopens

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside reopened on October 14th, and just recently, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter reopened on October 28th. And the dining locations Scat Cat’s Club and Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory reopened with them.

We’re so happy to be back!

And yes, you can get Mickey Beignets at Disney World again, for the first time in over a year and a half. This means that only one hotel has yet to reopen at Disney World — Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, whose reopening has been delayed.

Modified Meet and Greets Return to Disney World

Disney World guests can now get more one-on-one time with some of their favorite characters again. Modified meet and greets, now called character “sightings” are now available at both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Hi Mickey!

Here’s where you can have a character sighting at Disney World:

  • Disney Junior Pals at Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios
  • Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams at Hollywood Studios
  • Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom
  • Cinderella and Elena at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom
  • Rapunzel and Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom

Disneyland Update

So quite a bit is happening over on the West Coast at Disneyland. First, guests driving to Disneyland will have access to the trams in the parking lots in early 2022. These are the trams that guests between the Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals parking garages and the front gates of the resort.

Trams are coming back soon!

Disneyland is also raising both its ticket and parking prices. There’s a new Tier 6 ticket option for guests, meaning that on dates when the park has the most demand, tickets will cost $164 for a 1-day 1-park ticket and $224 for a 1-day park hopper. Multi-day tickets will also cost more. You can see a full breakdown of the new ticket prices here.

Disneyland parking has also seen a price increase from $25 to $30.

Hayden Christensen Will Join Cast of Ahsoka on Disney+

Hayden Christensen, who portrayed Anakin Skywalker (who eventually becomes Darth Vader) in the Star Wars prequel movies, will be joining Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka) in the upcoming Ahsoka series on Disney+.

It was previously reported that Christensen would also be appearing in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series on the streaming subscription service.
