Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been getting a lot of updates recently, with a refurbished Monorail Station, new Moana-themed rooms, and colorful panels outside the entrance.
When the resort officially reopened in July, some areas — like the front entrance and the Monorail Station — were still blocked off to guests because of continuing construction. The Monorail Station reopened earlier this week, and now the front entrance is finally open to guests as well! Let’s take a look at the updates.
After Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort reopened, guests were directed to a side entrance to the lobby in the Grand Ceremonial House because the front was still under construction. But now the front entrance is complete! There was still a little work being done out front, with landscaping and construction.
But we took the chance to see the colorful, new panels a little better.
These panels were added previously, and you can see them in the Monorail Station as well.
We saw buses and cars under the port cache (which have been allowed there since the resort reopened) as well as guests checking in at the front desk outside the lobby.
Heading in, you’ll pass through the lush greenery and bridge to get to the front doors.
The ground got an update with a stone pattern along with the wooden bridges that bring guests through the tropical landscaping.
The gorgeous landscaping was updated as well.
After stopping to admire the plants and waterfalls, you can go straight into the lobby!

I swear, I seriously can’t remember what it looked like before. It looked like these pictures to me. Maybe less colorful?
