Disney World has spent a lot of time over the past few years updating resorts — we’ve seen Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort get a complete overhaul, including brand new Moana-inspired rooms.

And Disney’s Contemporary Resort is currently under refurbishment, with new Incredibles-inspired rooms coming soon. And now, we’ve learned that some DVC rooms at Disney World hotels will get an upgrade.
Disney has announced that Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will both get foldaway beds like those seen at Pop Century and Riviera Resort. These beds are pull-down Murphy beds that convert the sofa into a place to sleep.
These beds can be pulled down at night…

…and then pushed up to ensure extra space during the day.

This refurbishment will start this November at Disney’s Grand Floridian Villas, and finish later this fall at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Disney hast stated that, “these projects are part of an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement that keeps our neighborhood of resorts ahead of the curve.” We’ll keep you updated with any further information!

Yeah!! Those beds are awesome! Thanks for the update!
Yay! So Polynesian, if it’s finished THIS Fall, then that means sometime before Dec 21 (strange that Fall goes into Dec! I had to look that up hahahah) but that would be so great because our trip is Jan 2022! 😆👌
Yes! Those are much better than sofa
