Disney World’s 50th Anniversary kicks off on October 1st, and we couldn’t be more excited!
We’re ready to check out the new fireworks show, see Mickey and friends in their costumes, and look for all the Fab 50 character statues. In addition to those celebrations at Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle is getting a special lighting package, and we’ve got a first look!
Disney’s fan club, D23, just revealed the new nighttime look on the cover of their upcoming publication, Disney Twenty-Three. The photo features Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their 50th Anniversary costumes, standing in front of Cinderella Castle lit up in EARidescent magic!
This new look is part of the “Beacons of Magic” lighting packages that are coming to each of the four park icons. You’ll be able to check out similar effects on Tower of Terror and the Tree of Life, and EPCOT is getting a permanent nighttime “glow up.”
We’re ready to see this new effect in person, and we’ll make sure to share photos as soon as we do! Stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest 50th Anniversary news and updates!
