We’ve seen a lot of dining changes in the Disney parks since they reopened!
Mobile Order is being more heavily used, Walk-Up Waitlist has been introduced, and modifications have been made at several restaurants. We’ve seen many former buffet locations turn to family-style dining, but now a buffet is BACK!
Today we went to the newly opened Storytellers Cafe at Disneyland Resort for breakfast, and their character meal was offering buffet-style dining!
This is the first time we’ve seen Disney open a restaurant with a buffet since the pandemic. All the former buffet restaurants in Disneyland Resort and Disney World have been altered to fit current health and safety regulations, usually meaning that they changed to family-style dining.
The food was all laid out on one buffet, and we were given the choice of items like bacon, sausage, Mickey waffles, pastries, and fruit. Guests were then able to take their food back to their tables to dine.
While we were eating, the characters came out and paraded around for a few minutes. First in a group, and then they did individual laps. They’re still distanced from guests throughout their tour of the restaurant.
We’ll be sharing more details from Storytellers Cafe later today, so stay tuned to AllEars. We’ve got all the updates on what’s going on in Disneyland Resort and at Walt Disney World!
