Yesterday we saw fireworks return to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom!
It was SO magical to watch the fireworks over the castle again! But the fireworks, projections, and music were not the only thing we saw return to Magic Kingdom!
As much as we love the fireworks shows in the Disney parks, we were reminded yesterday of one little problem that comes with them…
…the CROWDS. Even with the rain, there were so many people waiting to watch the return of fireworks. Guests were camped out in the rain to save their spot way before the show began, and the crowds only got bigger as it got closer to showtime! After we watched the show, we saw a very familiar sight — a mass crowd of people all trying to leave the park at the same time.
This isn’t a new thing, of course! Fireworks shows have always caused more crowds in the parks because a lot of people want to be there for the magic. That’s something to keep in mind as you head back to Disney World and anxiously await the fireworks! Maybe consider if it’s worth leaving a little early to get a jump start on transportation back to your hotel, or wait around in the parks for the initial rush to die down.
Wait times to get back to your hotel after a fireworks show can be hugely long, but we think the shows are pretty magical, and seeing fireworks over the Cinderella Castle can be really fun for kids!
