PHOTOS! What Do You Think About Disney World’s NEW Packaging?

Disney World is often finding new sustainable ways to operate the park and produce less waste.

Disney uses solar panels as a source of energy for some of their rides, they have an entire solar field that provides power to the resort area, and they’ve even released reusable silverware that guests can purchase so they can do their part! And, the next time you’re doing your Disney shopping in the parks you might notice something very different about a classic toy!

Disney has introduced new plastic-free packaging for their Princess Dolls around the park! We spotted the updated toys in Sir Mickey’s at Magic Kingdom when we were visiting and had to take a closer look! Though there is no plastic piece that you can see the dolls through, you can still get a good look at them on the box…

…or you can see them out of the box in a display.

The new packaging is made out of sustainably sourced paper that is 100% recyclable and may prove to be a lot easier to open compared to those plastic boxes dolls normally come in. And, you can find a pretty wide variety of Disney princesses in doll form — there is Cinderella, Mulan, Tiana, Jasmine, and even Pocahontas!

Though this change may be subtle, it is just one of the ways that Disney is working to reach their sustainability goals by 2023.

Each doll costs $24.99 and you can find them in their new packaging at Sir Mickey’s and other stores around Walt Disney World. Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
