The Walt Disney Company has been making a greater effort in the last few years to be mindful of the environment.
We first noticed that the parks were switching to paper straws instead of plastic, and nowadays we’re even getting more reusable utensil options. They’ve been working on conservation projects with other companies, and now, they’re reducing plastic waste with one of their most popular pieces of merchandise!
Just in time for Earth Day, Disney announced that from here on out their line of classic dolls will come in plastic-free packaging. You’ll find these new boxes at shopDisney, Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Stores in North America, and coming soon to Disneyland Resort.
The packaging is made of sustainably sourced paper that is 100% recyclable, and they’re actually easier to open than the old boxes! The line of dolls features 15 different characters, from Anna and Elsa to Jasmine, Ariel, and Belle — tons of leading ladies to choose from. These new boxes will launch globally later this year.
