Earlier this month, Disney announced the details of several new restaurants coming to the Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney, including three concepts from Carlos Gaytán, Mexico’s first MICHELIN-starred chef: Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita. We recently took a trip to Anaheim to catch up on their construction.
First up we have Céntrico, an outdoor courtyard bar that Disney says will serve as an “energetic, central gathering place serving upscale Mexican cuisine and tequila-based cocktails.”

Céntrico will feature outdoor seating for guests enjoying food and drinks from the location.

Speaking of drinks, the location will feature a fully stocked bar.

Next, there’s Tiendita which will offer traditional Mexican street foods. Visitors using self-order kiosks will be able to grab a variety of staples including “esquites (roasted corn), fish tacos, ice cream- stuffed chocolate tacos, and breakfast favorites like chorizo breakfast burritos and chilaquiles (marinated tortilla chips with egg.”

Finally there’s Paseo, which will see Mexican dishes mixed with“French culinary style and technique.”

The restaurant will feature a “show-stopping dining room and bar area lined with rich woods, tiles, textures, leathers, and custom accents that celebrate Mexico’s craftsmanship culture.” In addition, a massive staircase will lead to an extended upper patio.

Judging by our most recent look, all three of these locations look good to go and should meet their May opening projection with ease. Stay tuned to AllEars for more updates on Downtown Disney’s new locations.
