Even though we don’t get traditional meet-and-greets or regular parades, the character interactions in Disney World are pretty great right now!

We’ve really been enjoying the physically distanced meets with our favorite Disney pals, especially when they’re doing cute and unexpected things. We’re also big fans of the cavalcades that run through each park, and today, two of them got an upgrade with some rare characters!
In Magic Kingdom this morning we spotted two of Disney’s leading ladies joining the princesses and the Fantasyland Friends in greeting guests, but now they’ve made their way to the cavalcades as well!

First, we saw The Royal Princess Processional rolling down the parade route. We love getting to wave hello to all of our favorite royal ladies!

But now, Mulan has joined them. She looks right at home here on this float, and we’re pretty excited to see her — she hasn’t been in the parks since they reopened!

She seemed to be having a great time waving to the guests, so we hope this is a permanent change in the lineup.

Here’s a video of Mulan in her new role:

After the princesses came through, we spotted another cavalcade on its way. This random assortment of characters used to be known as the Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade, but now it has been renamed the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade!

Previously, Winnie the Pooh was on top of the float, but today we were greeted by Moana! Moana is especially rare to see in the parks because she usually only shows up during hard-ticketed events.

Considering the name for this cavalcade was also changed on the website, we have a feeling this change may be here to stay. We spotted Pooh and Tigger with their other friends on the train station today, so maybe they’ll be riding on the trolley with Eeyore, Piglet, and Rabbit from now on.

Make way for Moana!
