While it can be easy to focus on new rides and construction in the Disney World Parks, a ton of refurbishment also goes on outside of the parks.
These are the closures that can really impact your stay, especially if you were looking forward to lounging at the pool. Last year, we saw a waterslide at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn get a major makeover. And now, another slide will be getting refurbished as well!
According to Disney’s website, the Stormalong Bay waterslide at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be undergoing maintenance beginning this month. A specific date hasn’t been mentioned, but the month of February is confirmed as the start of the refurbishment.
Disney also notes that the Stormalong Bay pool and the additional three pools at Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will remain open during the slide’s refurbishment.
