It was recently announced that Disney California Adventure would be holding a limited-time ticketed event inside the park featuring unique entertainment, special food and beverage offerings, and new merchandise.
Disney shared that this new experience would bring nearly 1,000 Cast Members back to work at the park. Now, a Disneyland labor union has confirmed that some furloughed workers may be called back to work beginning this week.
Workers United Local 50 is a labor union that represents Disneyland’s food service workers. The organization shared that some furloughed Cast Members can expect to receive recall notifications as early as today, and they will continue in the upcoming weeks.
The recall will happen in waves. Positions to be filled are within the Quick-Service, Vending, Table Service, and Festival Operations sectors. Some of the roles include Cashier, Maintenance Coordinator, Bushelp, and more. The first wave of recalls is expected to include approximately 60 Cast Members, Local 50 President Chris Duartes shares.
An official start date for the event hasn’t been shared yet, but it’s expected to take place in mid-March. Check back with us for more Disney news!
