NEWS: Security Screenings Added to Disney Springs

If you’ve been to Disney Springs and parked at one of the parking garages, then you’ve likely seen something similar to this where you get your temperature checked prior to entering.

But, today we spotted something NEW that guests will now have to go through in order to enter Disney Springs.

We’re used to seeing security checks throughout the Disney World theme parks, but today we spotted a security check in a new place — Disney Springs (a.k.a. our food and shopping theme park)! We parked in the Orange Garage and were directed to go through the security check today right after the temperature check.

We spoke to a Security Cast Member who confirmed that the checks are new as of today and are taking place in both parking garages at Disney Springs. 

So, guests should now be prepared to undergo a temperature check and security screening at Disney Springs, just as they do to enter the Disney World theme parks. If we find out any more information about this, we’ll let you know.
