Walt Disney World has really stepped up its game when it comes to providing alternative meals for guests with dietary restrictions. A lot of people think theme park and imagine that they’ll only be able to get hamburgers and French fries, but at Disney World, that’s not the case.

Disney World is a big place, though, and it can be intimidating trying to find the right places to eat for guests who need to eat gluten free. We’ve gathered information and tips here, but when it comes to dining recommendations, we’ve got a bunch of those, too!
Here’s our list of some of our favorite Disney World restaurants where you can eat gluten free!
Note: To be certain your meal will be safe for you, speak to your server and the chef at Table Service restaurants or the Cast Member and manager at Quick Service restaurants. They’ll be able to get you ingredients lists and let you know of any possible cross-contamination. Click here to learn more about dining with dietary needs at Walt Disney World.
Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen
Even though the menu has been simplified since opening, Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen still offers an extensive list of gluten free items that don’t even require substitutions.

Some great choices to start your meal off are the Falls Family Falafel or Shiriki Noodle Salad straight from Hotel Hightower. When you’re ready for your entree, check out either the Hardy Har Char Siu Pork the “A Lot At Steak” Salad.

Jiko – The Cooking Place
If you’re looking for a great Signature experience with several meat-heavy options on the menu, Jiko – The Cooking Place at Animal Kingdom Lodge should be on your radar.

Jiko offers up unique African-inspired flavors compared to most other Disney World restaurants, like the Oak-Grilled Filet Mignon and the Botswana-style Beef short Rib.

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza
If you’re going for a gluten free diet, pizza that is copacetic with the restrictions is hard to come by. You can find one such option at Blaze Pizza in Disney Springs.

They’ve recently diversified their crust options so now you can choose between gluten free, cauliflower, and keto crust for any of your dietary needs. That means you can get a completely customizable artisanal pizza in 180 seconds that fits in 100% with your diet. That sounds like a win to us.

Flame Tree Barbecue
Flame Tree Barbecue is a great quick-service location for any group, but gluten free eaters will find a menu that’s filled with savory meat options that fit in nicely with their dietary restrictions.

This meal can be an especially great value if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan. You can get a sampler of ribs, chicken, and pulled pork with sides for one credit!

Sunshine Seasons
It is usually pretty hard to find something that your family doesn’t like at Sunshine Seasons. They have such a wide range of options and different stations, and that includes options for gluten free meals.

The Grill should be your primary stop, where you’ll find items like the Oak-grilled Rotisserie Chicken and Mongolian Beef that come with appropriate sides.

One of the reasons I’ve kept going to Disney over the years is their attention to food allergies. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 1998 and Disney became one of the few places I could visit back then and eat without worrying! I’ve had great luck at most places – not just gluten free, but gluten free and great!
