NEWS: D23's Destination D Event Has Been Postponed Until 2021

In these unprecedented times, conventions and other large-scale events around the globe are being postponed due to health and safety concerns for the public.

D23, Disney’s official fan club, has made the decision to postpone their Destination D event until 2021.

This year’s event, “Fantastic Worlds,” was originally slated to take place at Walt Disney World in November of 2020. In a statement posted on their Twitter account, D23 said they will continue to host virtual events through the rest of 2020.

Destination D is a three day biennial event that traditionally takes place in Walt Disney World, celebrating all things Disney! It occurs on an alternate schedule from D23, their main expo that traditionally takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center near the Disneyland Resort.

D23’s largest event, the D23 Expo, is still on pace to take place in 2021 as scheduled. This will mean that D23’s two largest events will both happen in the same calendar year.
