While we’ll be taking you with us for a first look back at the Disney Resorts today, Disney Park Pass is almost set to officially launch today!

The reservation system is only opening to resort guests with existing tickets today, with plans to open for Annual Passholders on June 26th, following by all other guests with valid tickets on June 28th. While the announcement never noted a time to go live, so far guests have had a lot of trouble getting through!
When the Disney Park Pass does goes live, guests will be able to schedule which days they will be visiting the parks. Since there is a limited capacity at this time, there are only a certain amount of reservation that are given out per day.

However, resort guests are already having issues trying to access the Disney Park Pass system at the moment as Disney attempts to smooth out the issues. We’ve had multiple team members trying to access the system today, all of whom have been met with pages such as this!

Notably, though, there was one interesting new “waiting” page, depicting Cinderella Castle sporting its new royal blue and rose gold makeover!

So if you have found yourself staring at the newly made over Cinderella Castle for quite some time this morning, rest assured — you’re not alone!
While we don’t know when the new theme park reservation system will be up and running properly, we will keep you updated!
Take a look at all the rides, entertainment, and more that will be open in Disney World here!
What has your experience been with the Disney Park Pass system today? Let us know in the comments below!

Couldn’t get through at all yesterday. This morning phone number won’t even connect. Can’t get an online chat either. They must be bombarded. I want to change my dates from August to December but it won’t let me do it online…unless someone knows how to change it somewhere?
It took us 5 hours to get booked several refreshed pages but my daughter diligently stayed and did it as I had to go to work !
She then helped a friend who was having problems so all in all a total of 71/2 hours !🙈 What a nightmare having no park hours up and at the moment no extra magic hours no fireworks etc and the parks closing early we just split our 14 days between 4 parks so no rhyme or reason just a park to visit on the day !
Started login at 7:00am and after 90 frustrating minutes I was able to successfully log in. Then several minutes trying to located the reservation page. We are going in September for 10 days right after Labor Day. I took about 5 minutes after that to complete our total reservations and about 1 minute to verify what I had selected.
Tried to login starting at 7:00am. At one point I got the login screen but rejected after I put in my password. After 90 minutes I got in and several minutes trying to find the where the reservation system was located. After that I was done reserving are September visit for the ten day trip with 5 minutes.
I tried getting on this morning and never got further than the castle. Had to sign off to go to work. Got back on when I got home from work (7:00 pm CST) and had absolutely no problem making park reservations for all ten days of my planned vacation in September.
Glitch in annual pass PPR has been fixed. I was just able to finish our reservations for our January trip. 😀
Just Logged In to the Park Pass Reservation System again. Went directly into the Application. Big Difference from this morning. However, still have the same issue. Annual Passholder with a 10 day DVC Resort Reservation for the first week in Oct 2020. PP Reservation System only allows me to make 4 Park Reservations. System gives a “Park Pass Limit Reached” error. Furthermore, Second Planned Trip is in Jan 2021. I can’t make any Park Pass Reservations At All. Same PP Limit Reached Error.
Did you call …been on hold for 10 hours!!
Just got through at 3 pm. Worked great once I finally got through starring at the pink castle for 9 hours of frustration.
It has taken me all day to get park reservations and I am still not done. We are DVC and have two different reservations for 2021. One in January so as not to lose points and another with family in May. I was able to make all the park reservations for the May trip (6 days) but could only make a reservation for one day in January. Are annual pass holders limited to 7 park reservations even if they are staying onsite? If so, this is crazy. From what I am reading, annual pass holders are able to make park plans for the entire length of stay. Has anyone else ran into this roadblock? The phone number to call if you have a problem won’t even ring anymore. 😡
Well, I guess I am going to ask for a partial refund on my fully paid annual pass since the parks have no availability before its extended expiration. What good is being a DVC member if you can’t even get into the parks? And that availability calendar on their system? Zero.
Julia,
On the availability page, make sure you have resort guest highlighted. If you choose one of the other two options, everything is grayed out.
first off let me say my wife and i love Disney world and its our favorite place to visit we go on her birthday in April,my birthday in September and the first week in December and love it each and every time, but I must be crazy in reading all these comments about getting in the parks, I honestly believe you are going to be very disappointed, masks in 90-100 degree heat and crazy humidity, not getting the restaurants you want with only 50 pct.capacity, no shows.no parades, masks back on after you come out of the pool, shortened hours,no fireworks and i’m sure the cast members will not be as happy knowing they will have to work masks for hours.I hope and pray it all works out and you have a great time anxious to read the reviews after your experience, god bless and stay safe.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change your park reservations for a different day in the system yet or how to do it? I finally got through after 6 1/2 hours of waiting. We arrive on September 21 at 6AM. I made that day Animal Kingdom. It opens at 8 Am. Thinking if flight is late, I should have booked Epcot since it opens at 11 AM. Appreciate it if anyone knows how to change or can tell me.
We are DVC with AP. Like most of you, I was up and ready to login before 7am. After waiting and watching the castle for hours, I was able to grab 7/11-18 park passes! Good luck everyone 👍🏼
Still can’t get in. Been trying since 7 am EST. This sucks. So not magical!
For anyone still stuck, make sure you aren’t going to webpages in your history. I got in in less than 30 minutes this morning once I realized the castle page isn’t really a waiting room. Space Mountain is the waiting room page. There is no point in waiting on the castle page.
The address to go to is disneyworld.disney.go.com/park-reservations/
Then click the BLUE button to make a reservation.
It took us 2 and half hours this morning…But worth it we got all 4 disney parks for our vacation
We had 3 devices and used multiple browsers. It took over 5 hours, BUT we got the parks on the days we wanted during our stay this summer.
I live in VA and started at 7:00. It took me multiply refreshes (time 7:21) to get to the castle page. I got to the actual sign in at 8:48. My trip dates fall Oct 31 – Nov 9. I got the parks I wanted for the six days I have tickets. All together about two hours total. Next step dinner and experience reservations 60 days out?
We had 5 devices trying but after 2+hours we got the parks we wanted on the days we wanted
OKW reservations on DVC site booked under my wife’s and mine’s name. Conformation email is in our names. When I linked the hotel resi to my disney experience it shows me and my son in the hotel room. I have 8 rooms and my son is in another room and it doesn’t have my wife in any room so right now I can’t book the parks for her as it only shows she has tickets. And of course you can’t get through to Disney to fix this. Of all the issues I expected today this was certainly not one of them.
I am an annual pass holder with reservations at Ft Wilderness. I was able to get past the castle page the first time within 30 minutes of signing on. Then went to the reservation page and was not able to make any reservations for any of the days we will be at WDW. I then logged off and went to sign back in and am now back to the castle page. Have been there for about 2 hours. I am also, “on hold” with the reservation desk at WDW. I have been waiting on hold for the last 1.5 hours. The last 30 minutes I have heard no on-music or anything but I have not been disconnected. Not sure if I should continue to hold or if WDW has already disconnected me. This is pathetic. Disney should have known it was going to be like this and staffed for it. Very disappointed in how Disney has handled this whole thing.
My girlfriend and I were both on just before 7am. Had 2 laptops and 2 phones all trying to login. Figured the more lottery tickets, the better in this case. She finally got through about 8:30am. We are DVC and AP. Got all 7 days for this August reserved. Sorry not everyone is having the same experience. Now that they have an idea of how many park reservations per day have been booked, they will hopefully open up on the 29th or so in park dining reservations for those with park reservations.
Our vacation is ruined. FINALLY got in to make park reservations and the entire week is booked solid. Now we have hotel reservations paid for and tickets paid for that we cannot use. My brother and sister in law’s anniversary celebration is destroyed and she is practically inconsolable. Disney has more hotel reservations than space in the parks – ALL FOUR PARKS COMBINED. I wasted nearly five hours struggling to get through this god forsaken site, only to be told to go fly one. No magical experience here. Now let’s see how long it takes to get my $2500 back. Boo Disney….you should have stayed closed and left us disappointed instead of teasing people with the prospect of light at the end of the tunnel. You’re gonna loose more money than you ever thought about making with this latest hare-brained scheme.
I just checked availability through the end of the year. All parks are available for resort guests. When using the availability tool link below, be sure to select the “Resort Guests” tab and not the “Theme Park Ticket Guests” which will have dates grayed out as not available. Good luck!
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/availability-calendar/?segments=tickets,resort,passholder&defaultSegment=tickets
you may be trying for outside your hotel room stay window. we got no availability for days before/after our wdw hotel stay but still in Orlando just not at one of their hotels.. so maybe wrong reservation type..like buttercup said. being AP holders we will try again on the 24th when AP can make non-hotel reservations
It took me 2 hours of waiting on the castle screen before I could login. Then, I spent about 30 minutes (it had a 15 minute countdown) on the space mountain screen before I could access the pass reservation system. However, once in, I was easily able to navigate and make my selections for 5 park days in late November. There was just one time slot option and it was for the entire day. Ex. 8am-6PM It said I could enter any time during that time frame. I used incognito mode in Chrome on my laptop. I never saw Stitch. I was able to successfully get past the castle screen on my mobile device shortly after my laptop made it through. My phone had only been trying for an hour and was in chrome.
This has probably been one of the most painful processes I have dealt with concerning Disney. Been online 3 hours. Safari seems to have trouble with the system and won’t load past the Waiting room. Google got me in and then said reservation wasn’t linked. It was. Said my family and friends weren’t linked they are. Said there were no days for our November vacation. Now I am back in a waiting room. Again.
Started at 6:45 EST and still nothing. I’ve been kicked off, kicked out and promised it was getting close. Early I got on and it said that I had to pick my magic bands first. Then booted me off. This has been a sooo frustrating for us and as people who travel thousands of miles and who go annually with a 2020 graduate who was looking forward to this trip for quite some time. Ii has been a huge disappointment.
Been on for almost 4 hrs now. Still waiting. Briefly got in and could only make 3 day’s worth of reservations of our 10 day stay. Tried to check the reservation dates were linked to the account (again) and I’m back to the castle. UGH!
I started at 6:50am and it only took 3 hours to get my reservations. I thought it would be quicker.
we started at 6am and got in and reserved by 8am. we are an AP member with a hotel stay at the contemporary Aug 3-7 got those fine but not for days outside the hotel stay yet. will have to re-try on the 24th.
This is a nightmare. I cant get through on the phone or online. I fear my tickets going to waste.
I have had the same negative experience that many others have had. Finally got in through the annual Passholders page. Several resets of the clock later, I was in. It only allowed park reservations for 3 of the 6 days. Passes and reservations are all linked. Calling the phone number is a joke. Call fails or is busy. I’ve been at this for over 4 hours. Going somewhere other than Disney is sounding better and better. Complete fail on Disney’s part.
I waited in an online queue for over an hour but was able to get passes for all 5 days we have tickets. The system was really easy once I got in. We are DVC members with a Sept 7-14 reservation.
I’m honestly about to rage out. I’ve been waiting on the site since 6:50 only to be led to a dead page at 10:30am. I was just now led to the reservation page and it says there is no availability through 2021. Glad Disney still has thousands of my dollars. Also they still have my reservation set for Port Orleans Riverside but no word if it will be open for our vacation July 17th.
It won’t be. Per WDW Info website there is no opening date set for either Port Orleans property.
Only took 2 hours to book our parks for early November. Was expecting it to take much longer.
Same, here. Have a DVC Resort for Oct 03-10 and am an Annual Passholder. Was only able to get 3 Park Passes.
I started at 7 am and was finally able to make reservations for my August 17-21 trip at around 9:45. I stared at the castle screen for a couple of hours then opened a new page, went to My Disney Experience and got a blue box that said “Make a Park Pass Reservation.” I clicked on that and it didn’t take long to get in. I was relieved to see that the entry time choice was the hours of park operation (for example, 8am to 6pm).
same for me. I was expecting to have to make an “appointment” time, but instead it just said “arrive between” and gave the total time the park was open that day. For each park and reservation. Oh well, I’ll take it. Just glad we got ressies for each day of our stay bc our DVC rental points(vendor) are not easily changed or refunded. I was sweating this! Now to find a cool and comfortable face mask.
I am AP holder with 5 night hotel reservation. It will only let me make 3 days reservation. My reservation is linked. Ridiculous that a major company had three months to figure this out and can’t get it right. Of course the number the call and member services are both busy.
As a follow up. After spending a couple hours trying to dial in and another 1 hour 40 minutes on hold I finally got to speak to cast member who did not actually know the rules and tried to convince me I could only have 3 days and then after I argued that tried to convince me I could only book for one hotel stay. She did very politely check And realized she had wrong info. She then had two work with 2nd person to figure out my problem. Basically, I think they deleted my reservations and started over. End the end it took me from 7am to 3:15 working constantly but I did get it. I highly recommend calling 407-939-7917 if your are having a disconnect between your AP and resort reservations.
I’ve been trying to make reservations for over 3 hours and when I finally thought I was there as the wait time went to zero it crashed again. I’ve tried on various devices and all the same outcome.
Try Chrome Incognito!
Hang in there, It eventually works – kind of. Started at 6:00 CDT, after a wait I got the castle picture when I wanted login. Around 8:15 got logged in and found the Park Pass Reservation button under My Disney Experience. Go a waiting room there (Space Picture with a 12 minute count down). Go to the make your party page and then an oops screen. Retried and eventually got 6 park days reserved. System hung on the seventh, I canceled out and back at the castle screen.
After trying to get in since 7:00 am with no luck, someone suggested making a dining reservation in order to be able to login into MDE. Worked like a charm and I was able to get in and make all my Park Reservations. Go to WDW site and select make a dining reservation, pick a random restaurant and date, and then login in. I had to go through with making the dining reservation, but after that, it allowed me to access the Park Reservation system and was easily able to select Parks & Dates. Then cancelled the dining reservation. Hope that helps.
I was told the system was going live at 7:00 AM by my travel advisor. I was all set to go well before that, and dealt with the pink castle for quite some time. I found that I had better luck in MS Edge than Chrome for some reason. Finally about 9:30 I was able to get in. Once I did, it was a very easy (albeit stressful) process, selecting a date, and hoping the park we wanted for that day was available. I was able to get all six days for the parks of our choice, but spoke to a friend who was only able to get one day total for her trip. Not sure what that will mean for her in the long run.
It was frustrating and a bit nerve-wracking, not knowing exactly what to expect.
I had a similar experience as everyone else. Finally got in at 8:30 and was able to book all my parks for my August trip. The most surprising part was that I was also able to make my park selections for my October trip. They initially said you could only reserve through the end of September, but I tried for October, and it worked. I checked my MDE app, and they are on there, so it went through.
I was able to get in. I selected my Party of three (3) folks, all Annual Passholders with a DVC Resort Reservation for July 9 & 10. Then Selected the Magic Kingdom Park. Received a “Unable to Reserve” response. I then tried for Animal Kingdom Park, same result. Tried for July 11, same result. Looks like the System is not recognizing our Annual Passes or our DVD Resort Reservation, or both.
Waited until 9:30 EST, saw Space Mountain for about 15 minutes, then it took about 3 minutes to make my reservations. Maybe the backlog is getting cleared?
I got on after 1 1/2 hours of the castle screen. Then went into the pass reservation screen with space mountain. Then it sent me to a page with nothing but the bottom of the page. I got through two virtual queue lines and I have no way of making a reservation. I guess I am going to have no choice but to cancel.
If you are still having trouble, another site said to do this and it worked for me. Worth a try:
Open an incognito browser. Make a dining reservation (only for Disney springs right now and can be cancelled later). When you sign in for that, then go to the parks reservation system to choose your guests, dates, and parks.
I was able to put in for the end of Aug for my entire trip without issue. I then checked my plans to be sure and logged out. Then I went into the app and everything was there. I am not tech savvy and was able to do this. It relieved so much stress that I had to pass it along. I hope it helps someone!!
Many on a forum I follow had success with that. I got in without having to do it (albiet had to wait an hour and 45mins) and read about this tip AFTER.
I’ve been trying since 7:30am to get through. This is supposed to be my brother and sister in laws anniversary trip back to where they spent their honeymoon and she is devastated. We’ve been planning this trip since last Christmas. All dinner reservations have been cancelled, no park hopper (even though we’ve paid for the option), no parades, no fireworks and now no park reservations to go to the limited park options. They should have just stayed closed. Time for a family discussion on whether to continue with this charade or give up and cancel everything. I wonder how many months it will take Disney to get my $2500 back that i forked over just for myself?!
Been trying for 1 and a half hours and still no luck. I get blank screens on Safari and the castle on Chrome, after all of the time waiting in Orbit. Can’t believe how bad this is turning out.
Been waiting for 1+hrs. Get a blank screen in Safari and the castle in Chrome. Still nothing. So frustrating
After trying since 7 am, it finally let me sign in around 8:30. After signing in. I was placed in a que with a picture of space mountain. It said the wait time was 9 minutes, but the wait time would increase so it ended up being about 16 minutes. Once you get in it is very user friendly. You make your party, pick the date and then the park. Check the box that says you have read the covid rules and then confirm. The only time window was for all day entry. I made park reservations for 9 days in about 10 minutes. Once you have the castle picture on your screen, you just have to wait your turn. After it let’s you sign in, you are automatically directed to start your park reservations.
What a complete disaster this has turned into… Disney sure isn’t very Magical anymore
Go here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/park-reservations/ I got in from that link in one browser but the one that had the castle never loaded.
At 8:30 I finally got on and I could only get one day at Hollywood Studios. I’m hoping the system isn’t working right. If all the reservations are gone already I don’t know if we’ll be going.
Agreed only got Magic Kingdom and read my hotel won’t be open either
What’s the link for it? I keep going between the info pages and of course lots of stich and castle error pages while trying to get around the website.
Hi Holly! When it goes live, you will be able to access it through here! https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/park-reservations/
I used this link and got into the system within a 1/2 hour and was able to make the reservations easily
I’ve been staring at this since 3:50am. I saw a comment that someone spoke to a CM and they said that a time for the park reservation system was never released. 🤷♂️
I stared at various “Someone ate your page” screens and cinderella’s castle waiting page for 1-1/2 hours. It advises you not to use your back button or refresh and then it times out on you after 15 minutes or so.
This was a totally miserable experience so far and I am wondering if we will have to cancel our existing reservations and let go of our annual passes. Maybe DisneyWorld truly is gone.
Still waiting while staring at the castle. Refreshes itself occasionally as many other have mentioned. This is a disaster! If this is how the web reservation system rolls out, how will the parks be?!?!? It’s bad enough that they canceled all of our dining plan and reservations, our dessert party reservations, reservations for Epcot forever seating and no park hopping! Now I’m sitting here like this waiting and wondering?! This is a work day, Disney. Some of us can’t stare at your webpage all day. 🙁
Got into the system right at 7 am. Then got returned to the castle page with the floating clouds and waving banners banners. It is now 8:15 am. Every few minutes the system tries to refresh.
I am getting the same screen…still waiting!
