A Select Number of Disney Films are Returning to Theaters This Summer!

As states across the country reopen, movie theaters are beginning to welcome patrons back.

To entice movie-going audiences to come back to the theater, several studios, including Disney, are re-releasing a select amount of popular films this summer.

Erik Davis, Managing Editor at Fandango, tweeted that there are several Disney titles that will be playing at movie theaters that have opened or are in the process of opening.

Studios are making select titles available to theaters that are open or are opening. Disney's titles, scattered across 4 weeks, includes:
THE AVENGERS
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
BLACK PANTHER
DEADPOOL
ZOOTOPIA
THE GREATEST SHOWMAN
IRON MAN
THE FORCE AWAKENS
INSIDE OUT

For Disney, these titles include The Avengers, The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens, and Pixar’s Inside Out! Davis noted in a following tweet that it is up to the individual theater to decide which films to book, so you may not see ALL of these titles available, but you may see some!

While there are other highly anticipated new releases this summer, like Disney’s live action remake of Mulan, it’s also exciting to hear that some of our old favorites are returning to the big screen, too!

As massive theater chains like AMC prepare to reopen their locations around the country, we’ll keep an eye on the latest summer releases from Disney!
