We were in Disney this week for the grand opening of Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Naturally, we thought all the Disney news this week would be Star Wars related. We were wrong! There was an amazing amount of Disney news this week!

We’ve got all the news announced this week in one place for you — and that includes when new attractions, hotels, and restaurants are opening; a pair of famous Canadians narrating a new film in Epcot; and a sampling of new food!

Details and Opening Timeframe Announced for Star Wars Hotel, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

During the D23 Expo in August we learned a lot about the new Star Wars Hotel, including its name Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Opening Date Announced for Hollywood Studios’ Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

We learned Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open in Hollywood Studios on March 4, 2020. This will be the first ride in Disney starring Mickey ever! We also got a sneak peek inside the attraction, at the merchandise, and watched GMA preview the ride this week!

We got to try some of the newest items coming soon to Epcot! Regal Eagle Smokehouse will be opening in Epcot’s American Adventure pavilion this month. Check out what we tried here (including floating butter).

Opening Date Announced for Two Films (and Two Narrators) and a Sing-Along

January 17 will be a busy day in Epcot! Not only is it the opening day of Epcot’s Festival of the Arts — but also premiere day for Canada Far and Wide in the Canada Pavilion and Awesome Planet in The Land Pavilion. That isn’t all — we’ll be able to sing-along with Belle, Lumiere, the Beast, and more when the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along opens in the France Pavilion. And those, narrators — Canada Far and Wide will be narrated by Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara (fans of Netflix’s Schitt’s Creek cheer everywhere).
