The Regal Eagle Smokehouse will be opening in Epcot this month in the American Adventure pavilion. We were treated to a preview of some of the menu items tonight, and we gotta say, this will be the place to eat when it opens!
All the items we tried tonight are inspired by dishes we’ll see at the new quick service location.
We dove right in with the Sliced Hardwood Smoked Pork and had our choice of three sauces to try: Honey Mustard Sauce, Smoky BBQ Sauce, and Spicy BBQ Sauce.
We also previewed some non-meat options including the Smoked Impossible and Quinoa Terrine and the Vegetarian Braised Greens. Both of these options were tasty and a nice alternative for folks looking for a non-meat, lighter, or vegetarian option.
Side options will include a Toybox Tomato Salad that looks like it will be perfect at any cookout.
Of course, you can’t have BBQ without cornbread right? We were happy to try the Roasted Cornbread along with some Whipped Butter. We know the butter looks like it is floating, but don’t expect floating butter at Regal Eagle when it opens. (Maybe we’ll see that over at Space 220 instead.)
After getting a small sample of the menu, we are looking forward to giving the full menu a try when Regal Eagle opens this month. Regal Eagle replaces Liberty Inn, which closed in July for the re-imagination.
Are you looking forward to the arrival of Regal Eagle? Let us know in the comments!
Disclosure: We were invited by Walt Disney World to attend the media preview of Regal Eagle Smokehouse. This did not affect our reporting of the event — our opinions are our own.
