It’s a Disneyland Park icon: the Haunted Mansion. A trip to the Park isn’t complete without a visit to see the happy haunts. But in 2020, a months-long refurbishment will temporarily shutter the New Orleans Square-based attraction.
According to a story picked up by the Orange County Register and other outlets, the Haunted Mansion will close after the current Nightmare Before Christmas holiday overlay ends. The last day to ride Haunted Mansion will be January 20. The refurbishment will start the next day.
From January 21, 2020, for two months or longer, the attraction will be closed. Disneyland officials say interiors and exteriors will be “refreshed” and “some attraction mechanics [will be] refurbished.”
Haunted Mansion joins two other popular attractions — Snow White’s Scary Adventures and Indiana Jones Adventure — on the closures list for 2020.
