finally got reservations on 1-31-13 @ 7:55PM! Park closed at 8:00PM. The theme was spot on! My family of 4 felt like we were in the movie!! Service was good and we were never rushed. DO NOT ORDER RATATOUILLE!!! I made that mistake and by the time I got on the Disney bus to go back to our resort, I was sick. Husband had steak and loved it, while both daughters got chicken and said it was good. The beast made regular appearances and we could also do pictures throughout castle. Loved it, except for bad RATATOUILLE!

This was the best "experience" we had while at Disney. The food was delicious. French onion soup and the appetizer of cured meats etc. was fabulous. Four of us had steak, including my son. The will substitute fries for the sweet potatoes on the kids meal. The Beast's walk through was a little lack luster but the pictures taken in the study were nice. We had a 7:20 reservation and had to hurry to catch the Beast for pictures before he left at 9. The wait staff gave us plenty of time to go back and explore the West Wing. We were seated in the ballroom and it is very beautiful.

We had a wonderful dinner with excellent service. My son and I had the steak and both thought it was great. My wife had the shrimp and scallops and said it was "very good". The atmosphere in the ballroom was wonderful and we enjoyed meeting The Beast.

What can I say. . . the entire experience was unbelieveable. We visited for dinner on 1/22/13 and were seated in the forbidden room of the castle. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the rose and portrait are an experience not to be missed.
I ordered the ratitoulle and loved it. I don't care for mushrooms and it had mushrooms, but not so much that I couldn't eat them or pick them off. The order was the perfect size for me and I loved the flavor and the vegetables that were included in the meal.
We had a group of 9 and the server was knowledgeable, professional, and quick to serve us. Even though we were finished and just hanging out (it was late in the evening), she didn't try to hurry us along.
Our bill (mine and my husbands) was about $70 with a tip. I thought that was pretty reasonable considering we can pay that at the Outback Steakhouse at home.
I can understand why there is such a long wait for a reservation. It's well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to go again.

DH, DS12 and I were VERY lucky to get an ADR for this restaurant on November 24, 2012 for dinner. We registered at the podium in front of the bridge and were given a pager. After about a 20 minute wait, we were called and shown into the Beast's Castle. IT.WAS.AMAZING!
The immediate interior hallway was stradled on both sides by Knights in Armor who spoke to you (and each other) as you walked in. This is where the touch-screens are for lunch. From there, you are taken into the Ballroom. It is a vast open area and looks EXACTLY like the ballroom from the movie, right down to the chandelier and chairs decorated with carved wooden roses.
I had asked the CM when I made my ADR to be seated in the West Wing, where the wilting rose was kept under the bell jar. It was magnificent. The room was smaller than the Rose Gallery or the Ballroom and much darker. It was an exact replica of the West Wing from the movie. In one corner, on a table, was a holographic rose that lost a petal every 20 minutes or so. When a petal fell from the rose, loud thunder and lightning echoed through the room and the portrait of the Prince that hung on the opposite wall from the Rose magically changed to a portrait of the Beast himself! I have never seen anything so amazing in my life.
Yes, the tables are close together...we felt packed in like sardines. However, the food was delicious and the service was impeccable! DS and I had the steak and pomme frittes. The steak was well-seasoned and tender and the "fries" were served in a very French looking cone. DH had the seafood in puff pastry which he found rich and delicious.
For dessert, we had a strawberry cupcake, a lemon cupcake and due to my peanut allergy, I had a chocolate cupcake that was brought out "from the back" that our server assured us hadn't come into contact with other foods or desserts. My cupcake was cold (straight from the fridge), but very rich and chocolately!
After dinner, we were escorted to the Beast's Library where he greeted us and signed my son's Autograph Book. We got many great pictures as well.
Overall, we GREATLY enjoyed our experience and can't wait to go back!

My sister and I dined here on 1/17. Upon walking into the castle, we were given a brief tour of "the master's home" by our hostess. We were seated at a table for 2 in the ballroom. The atmosphere is breathtaking-I felt like I could see the movie happening around me!! Our waitress invited us to tour the other rooms and take pictures after our meal. Twice while we were there, our waitress gave us the heads up that the Beast would be greeting guests, and we were able to get our cameras ready and snap a picture of him walking through the dining room. We were able to meet him in his study after dinner, which was very cool-especially because there was no line.
This food was the best we had eaten all week. I had the steak with vegetables and french fries and it was easily the best steak I have ever had!!! I can't remember what my sister had (seafood, I think) but she raved about hers as well. We were told by a cast member outside to ask about the grey stuff, and our waitress was kind enough to bring it to us even though my birthday was actually several weeks earlier. It was delicious, as promised, and came in a very fun presentation.
I had the strawberry cupcake and my sister had the passion fruit cream puff for dessert-both were excellent. The cupcake was light and not too sweet, perfect after a filling meal.
My only complaint is that the tables are VERY close together-I felt as if we were sitting with the table of 2 next to us, rather than at a neighboring table. Luckily they were very nice, but it was definitely a little awkward.
I cannot wait to eat here again on my next trip.

We dined here on 1/16. I think most of these reviews are accurate. The biggest plus is the decor and atmosphere. It's truly breathtaking. When you walk in, if you don't get excited you need to wear a Grumpy shirt all the next day. I found the service to be very good, the place was busy but our drinks were refilled quickly and we had no complaints. I got the steak, asked for ketchup and got it within sixty seconds. Pretty good in my book. I agree the restaurant is noisy, I didn't even notice music. We ate in the large room but were encouraged to walk around to the other rooms which we did. The food was good, not great. But it's such a step up from everything else in the Magic Kingdom that it easily fills the role of signature dining experience in the MK. And I agree with the feeling of exclusivity, they don't let people just sneak in to take pictures. After dealing with crowds all day in Fantasyland that's kind of nice.
Pros:
Ambiance, exclusivityCons:

Giving this an 8. Even with our reservations, we were stuck waiting on the bridge for 30 minutes. The restaurant IS beautiful. It is extremely noisy though. We were seated in the main ballroom, a party of six. This was my birthday dinner on Jan 16th. Our server was friendly, and seemed helpful. Based on the reviews, my husband and I eagerly ordered the french onion soup for appetizer. and were sorely disappointed. it was gross. It wasn't even beef broth, it was like watery chicken broth with onions in it. Thumbs down. MIL had the salad, which she said was good, and FIL had the mussels which he said were ok. Our entrees were brought out right after we got our appetizers. . .which was just bad timing and service. I had the pork chop, which I would rate as good, but not great. husband and FIL had the steak, which they also reported as ok, not outstanding. MIL had the cornish hen . .which was a bit dry. My kids would not eat anything on the kids menu. they do not eat meat (their own choice) and they do not like whole wheat pasta (most children don't. . .heck I don't!). while I understand they are trying to give kids healthy options. I think they went too far with with this restaurant. My kids sat at the table with nothing they would eat the whole meal, except the french fries they were given from the men's steak platters. But the server refused to bring some to the kids. . . so they sat there with cold whole wheat pasta in front of them. The room was so noisy you could hardly carry on a conversation. Then dessert. The strawberry cupcake was DELICIOUS. The rest (everyone got a different one) were all very mediocre and the passion fruit one was downright nasty. I did get some 'grey stuff' for my birthday though! It's just colored whipped cream, but it's pretty and a nice whimsical touch. Will not return there. It was not good enough for the hassle.

We ate an early dinner at BOG on Sunday, January13. It feels very special and exclusive when you walk across the bridge with pager in hand. The building itself is very impressive, but the inside is just as impressive. All of our food was very well prepared, and we loved eating here. I had the hen; DW had the ratatouille; DS and DD shared the pork. We all agreed that it was the best meal we had during our visit. Getting to take a picture with Beast at the end was very nice and fitting.
Pros:
Excellent food, incredible atmosphere, get to meet the BeastCons:

We ate here 1/9, and were seated shortly after our reservation. We were seated in the ballroom which was beautiful. We both had the steak frites. The Steak was flavorful and the fries were delicious. Our one complaint is that they need a more expansive dessert menu. I enjoyed the triple chocolate cupcake, and my fiance enjoyed her cream puff but we expected more considering the quality of the entree and setting. We look forward to eating here again.
