This FREE Disney World Hotel Perk Just Got an Upgrade

Staying on Disney World property comes with tons of different perks!

You get free transportation, that classic Disney design, close proximity to the parks, free water park entry depending on when you go, and more! Now, one of our favorite hotel perks just got even better! 

The end of your trip can be one of the saddest days of your week! No one wants to go back home to the grind of real life, but it is inevitable. You do eventually have to go home, though, and Disney is working to make that process a little easier for you. 

Disney’s Luggage Transfer program returned in 2025 to select Disney World hotels! This program is free, and we are BIG fans of it. It’s available for guests staying at:

• • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Previously, this perk was only available to guests flying with  Southwest Airlines. Now, the perk has expanded to include American Airlines and United Airlines! Disney will take your luggage from your hotel straight to Orlando International Airport, so that’s one less thing for you to worry about once the trip ends.

To use this perk, you just need to check in at whichever Disney World Resort hotel you’re staying at, and then call Luggage Assistance to let them know you want to use this service (you can also visit them in person). Consider leaving your inbound luggage tags on your bags to make the process easier. 

When your trip is over, check into your flight, drop off your bags, and you’re good to go to the MCO. You can drop your bags off at Luggage Assistance in the hotel lobby and BOOM! Your hands free. You will need to provide a form of ID to drop your bags off, so have that handy. You can even call Luggage Assistance from your hotel room phone to ask for assistance with your bags.

You should keep all necessities with you, like wallets, IDs, medicine, and any other items you want with you before, during, and directly after your flight. You can’t just drop your bags off at any time, though. If you are flying before 1:00 PM, make sure to drop your bags off by 1:00 AM the night before your flight. If you are flying at or after 1:00 PM, make sure to drop your bags off at least four hours before departure or no later than 1:00 PM — whichever of the two comes first. Luggage Assistance is open for guests to drop off their stuff any time from 7 AM to 1 PM, and then from 4 PM to 1 AM every day.

This perk is only for those leaving, sadly, not those arriving. That means you will have to bring your bags from MCO to your hotel, but we do love this hotel perk. Be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news, updates, and more.
