If you’re on the hunt for a snack, there’s no shortage of amazing options to try around EPCOT. In fact, between the food booths at the EPCOT festivals and the iconic eats from around the pavilions in the World Showcase, there are plenty of under-the-radar treats that you might completely overlook.

Located in the Norway Pavilion of the World Showcase, Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is a quick service spot that serves a variety of options including traditional fresh-baked pastries, desserts, coffees, and alcoholic drinks. The menu item lots of people know this spot for is the School Bread, which is a sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut. But just because the School Bread gets most of the hype doesn’t mean it’s the only treat here worth trying!
We recently swung by Kringla Bakeri to grab a traditional Norwegian treat. And instead of choosing one of the more talked-about choices, like the School Bread or the Norwegian Kringla, we opted for something farther down the menu…

The pastries at Kringla are displayed in a bakery case, which can be helpful if you’re on the fence about a few options and want to see exactly what you’re getting. And that’s where we saw our prize sitting front and center — the Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie!

We picked up the Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, and we’re happy to report that it was one of the best cookies we’ve had around Disney World! It was fresh, melty, and gooey (although, to be fair, the sun and heat outside contributed to the meltiness; it didn’t JUST come out from the oven). It also had a really great chocolate flavor without being overpowering.

The menu didn’t specify what the three chocolates were, but to us they tasted like milk, semi-sweet, and white, and they complemented each other perfectly. It also had some flakes of salt on top, which added a ton of depth and balance to the flavor. We would absolutely grab this one again! And if you’re craving a sweet treat around World Showcase and are looking for a safe bet that will be a hit with the whole family, this one could be a good pick for you, too.

Just a word of warning, with all of the chocolate, this one did get pretty messy. We recommend grabbing plenty of napkins and sticking close to the Norway bathrooms while you eat it, so you’ve got easy handwashing access when you’re done!
This hidden gem just goes to show that, as amazing as some of the more unique snacks are around the World Showcase, the “less flashy” options can be serious winners too! We’re constantly checking in on the TONS of menus around Disney World, so stay tuned to AllEars for our latest reviews!
