Everyone Told Me This Was The WORST Restaurant in Hollywood Studios, But I Loved It

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is my favorite park by far — my movie-loving heart just can’t get enough!

I love Hollywood Studios!

There are so many changes coming to the park, and one of them is the transformation of Muppets Courtyard into the new Monsters, Inc. Land. Don’t get me wrong, I’m SUPER excited about this new land (Monsters, Inc. was one of my FAVORITE movies growing up), but I have to admit that I’m sad my favorite restaurant in the park closed because of it. Yes, PizzeRizzo was a one of my most beloved spots to go, even though everyone else hated on it!

I know, I know, I can practically see you all rolling your eyes, but it’s true! I’ve talked on here many times about how picky I am as an eater, and that’s precisely why I loved PizzeRizzo so much — it was basic, simple, and it practically never changed.

My go-to meal was a classic cheese pizza kids’ meal. Kids’ meals are WAY cheaper than regular meals, and for me, offer the perfect amount of food. The kids’ meal came with a small Dasani water, a Cutie orange, the pizza itself, and an additional side!

It was puffy pizza (AKA super simple pizza that’s nothing special), and that’s why I loved it. To me, I prefer thicker crust on my pizzas, so it was perfect! Not to mention, I had not one, but TWO magical moments here! Once I went to the parks to celebrate my birthday and the Cast Member gave me a complimentary cupcake, and the second time I was celebrating a fun film acting milestone in my life, and the Cast Member did the same!

Magical Moment!

Pizza wasn’t the only thing on the menu here — there were also a few different types of subs, antipasto salad, caesar salad, as well as seasonal offerings. Were they always great? No, far from it actually, but I still miss this spot more than I can say.

Now, you can grab a few options from this spot over at Catalina Eddie’s right now (the meatball sub and the cheese and pepperoni pizzas, to be specific), but we do know that another quick service location will be going into the new Monsters, Inc. Land area. My hope is that this will be a very similar style of restaurant when it comes to the menu, but that it’ll just be rethemed!

I’m about to head back to Disney World for the first time in a few months and can’t wait to be back in the parks and see all that’s changed with my own eyes! We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney World news, so stay tuned to AllEars!
