We’re really looking forward to Animal Kingdom‘s construction projects, one of the biggest being the transformation of DinoLand U.S.A. into Pueblo Esperanza.

This project will take place over the next few years, and while we’re sad to see DinoLand go, we’re excited to see how this new land will turn out and what it’ll bring to the park. We know there will be three new attractions in this land, and now, we got an aerial look over how construction is coming along!
Thanks to @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter, we have some great images from the sky to see what’s happening behind the construction walls. Well, behind the walls, you can see Animal Kingdom Imagineering offices, while to the left are models of exteriors, which are small sections of features of upcoming attractions. Weathering is tested, but colors are also tested in natural sunlight to see how they’ll look in the park!

As for the actual construction site, this is what’s going on RIGHT behind the walls! You can see that the only buildings still standing in the closed-off area are the former home of Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures.

At the back half of the construction site, land is currently being cleared for the new Encanto attraction.

From the looks of it, this looks like it’s going to be quite a large attraction.

What’s really interesting from this angle is that you can see a change in elevation for this attraction! This looks to be a pretty steep difference, too, so we’re curious to see if this will affect the ride or ride queue when it’s complete.

Huge thanks again to @bioreconstruct for sharing these photos! We cannot wait to see more as construction continues — we know we’ve got a long time to wait until we can step into this land for the first time, but getting to see the process will be very worth it.
