WARNING: Disney's Hollywood Studios Will Be Extra Chaotic in May

The next few months are going to be busy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, headlined by not one, but TWO new shows opening on May 27th.

The former Disney-MGM Studios is on the verge of a massive transformation. Over the next several years, a Monsters, Inc. land headlined by a flying door coaster will replace the Muppet courtyard area, and the Muppets will move over to the Rock ’n’ Roller. However, while those changes are still years in the making, there are two major additions coming this May!

May 27th will see the debut of not one, but TWO new stage shows at Hollywood Studios.

The first, Unfairly Ever After is a “spellbinding show with moving music and a most memorable finale—where you help decide who has been treated most unfairly” amongst the Disney Villains. The show will be located in the former home of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.

The second new Hollywood Studios show is a reimagined interpretation of the park’s long-running Little Mermaid show. The new “fully reimagined show will take the audience to Ariel’s treasure trove” and be known as The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure. According to Disney, this new show will keep “the lively puppets, props, and scenery center stage. But new to this production, get ready to be dazzled with new digital puppetry and jaw-dropping effects. Plus, the addition of new-to-the-show songs!”

While the openings of the new shows will make May 27th a busy day by itself, things likely won’t slow down over the following weeks, as guests will likely flock to the park to bid adieu to Muppet*Vision 3D, as the legendary attraction’s last day of operation will be June 7th, along with companion restaurant PizzeRizzo.
