WHY Hasn’t Disney World Added THIS to More Hotel Pools Yet?!

When the Florida heat hits, there is no better place to cool off in Disney World than at your resort pool. 

This amenity is only available at four Disney World resorts, and we wonder why it hasn’t been added to more.

A Disney World pool day is always a great time. It is perfect for those hot days when you want to just relax, sit by the pool, and maybe sip on your favorite beverage. Now imagine doing all of that from your very own private cabana.

Did you know that you can also rent a private cabana at certain resorts? These cabanas are the perfect way to elevate your pool day with your own area to enjoy the pool. You can currently rent poolside cabanas at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, or Disney’s Beach Club Resort. 

However, with so many hotel pools, we wonder why Disney World hasn’t added cabanas to more? The cabanas come with padded furniture, a mini refrigerator stocked with sodas and water, towels, a ceiling fan, and a television. A cabana would make for a perfect day hanging out by the pool.

There is also an option to get private dining in your cabana. If you book a cabana at the Grand Floridian, or Yacht Club & Beach Club you also get a dedicated cast member who services the cabanas. The Yacht and Beach Club cabanas also offer cocktail service!

However, the cabanas cost extra, and it may not be the right choice for every family. Maybe you are only planning on spending a few hours at the pool, or you want to enjoy the pool without paying extra. While the cabanas can be fun, you can still have a fantastic time at the pool without renting one.
