Who else is STOKED about all the upcoming Disney movies?
One movie that has been highly anticipated for YEARS now is Mufasa: The Lion King, which is set to be released this year. We’ve been waiting for a sneak peek at the movie and now we finally have one!
Disney just shared the trailer/release timeline for Mufasa. We can expect to see the film in theaters on December 20th.

We’re so excited about this new film. It’s a live-action story of The Lion King where Rafiki tells the story of Mufasa to lion cub Kiara (the daughter of Simba and Nala). The tale is told in flashbacks and will add a deeper layer to The Lion King’s story!
Disney also announced that Lin Manuel Miranda is writing songs for the film! He is known for writing the Broadway musical Hamilton and the songs for hit movies like Moana and Encanto.
