A popular festival is on its way BACK to Disney Springs.

Jaleo was first founded by chef José Andrés in Washington D.C. in 1993, and has since expanded to Chicago, Dubai, Las Vegas, and Disney Springs. The restaurant says their goal is bring alive the “spirit and flavors of Spain by showcasing the rich regional diversity of Spanish cuisine. Celebrating the traditional as well as the cutting-edge, Jaleo offers a taste of Spain in a festive, stylish, and casual atmosphere.”
Each year, Jaleo hosts a Gin & Tonic Festival at their locations, including Disney Springs. Jaleo describes the festival as such:

“For two weeks, Jaleo Disney Springs guests can try a curated lineup of cocktails, featuring Appetizer, made with Fords Gin, Cynar, lavender, lemon and tonic, plus other classics the Ultimate Gin & Tonic and the Mediterranean. Available tapas pairings to accentuate the flavors the cocktails include fan-favorites like Patatas Bravas, fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and creamy aioli, and Pan con tomate y queso manchego, flavorful toasted slices of crispy bread brushed with fresh tomato and served with Spanish Manchego cheese.”

The festival’s menu will consist of several gin & tonic cocktails as well as a selection of tapas. These include:
Gin & Tonics
- Appetizer: Fords Gin, Cynar, lavender, lemon, tonic
- Saints: Tanqueray Gin, ginger, elderflower, aloe vera, tonic
- Ultimate: Hendrick’s Gin, juniper, lemon, lime, tonic
- El Patriarca: Genever, citrus expressions, tonic
- Mediterranean: Gin Mare, sweet and dry vermouth, lemon, lime, thyme, tonic water

Tapas
- Patatas bravas: Fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and alioli
- Croquetas de pollo: Traditional chicken fritters
- Buñuelos de bacalao: fried cod and potato fritters with honey alioli
- Pan con tomate y queso manchego: Toasted slices of crispy bread brushed with fresh tomato, served with Manchego cheese

The VERY delicious-sounding 2024 Jaleo Gin & Tonic Festival is scheduled to run from April 15th through the 28th, so mark your calendars!
