Something MAJOR Is Missing on EPCOT's New Map

It’s a BIG day at EPCOT!

Not only did the 2023 Festival of the Arts kick off today (check out our full coverage of that right here!), but a NEW map debuted in the park as well. We happened to notice some changes — so let’s check them out!

A NEW park map has landed in EPCOT! We spotted it while making our way around the EPCOT Festival of the Arts.

For reference, this is what the front of the map looked like previously.

Here’s a look at what the inside of the new map looks like. All in all, it pretty much looks the same. But, we did notice something was MISSING from the new map.

The PLAY! Pavilion is no longer listed on the map! You can see the structure still there (it’s the yellow ball that once was the Wonders of Life Pavilion) but it’s no longer named. It was previously listed as “Future home of PLAY!”

The PLAY! Pavilion was originally planned to be a semi-virtual, semi-real environment with games, special entertainment, interactive features, and characters. But, Disney hasn’t made any sort of recent announcements about the new spot, leading many to believe it’s been canceled altogether.

This new map may be a sign that the project has officially been scrapped, but we’ll let you know if Disney makes any official announcements. Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news!
