Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been an amazing spot to visit recently with Fossil Fun Games, the Dawa Bar, and Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks all re-opening in the park!

While Animal Kingdom has already proven itself to be a Halloween hit this year, we can’t wait to head back into the Kilimanjaro Safaris to see the sweet faces of the exotic animals living there. Today, though, we have a VERY important date to celebrate in Disney’s Animal Kingdom because it’s World Rhino Day!
And, there’s no better way to celebrate than welcoming NEW rhinos into the world! Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be the home to three new baby rhinos soon since there are three pregnant white rhinoceros in the park at the same time.

Animal Kingdom has released details about the three mothers-to-be, stating that:
- Kendi, who was the first rhino born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 1999, is the first due, with a calf expected to be born sometime this October.
- Jao is expected to give birth sometime in fall 2021.
- And rounding out the “crash,” which is what we call a rhino herd, Lola is due in fall / winter 2021.

Veterinarian Dr. Natalie Mylniczenko has been working with the rhino keeper team to do routine check-ups, ultrasounds, and watch the progress of the babies who will start arriving as early as next month. She might be one of the only people in the world who has seen a rhino at two centimeters, so we know she’ll take great care of the mothers and calves.

We are so excited to be able to see these amazing animals brought into the world soon! And, we’ll make sure to give you an update on when the calves have officially been brought into their new Animal Kingdom home!
These are the best snacks you can find in Disney’s Animal Kingdom right now!
