When people plan a trip to Walt Disney World, there are some high-priority items on their to do lists: blast off on Space Mountain; take in the sights, sounds, and flavors of World Showcase; and brave Rise of the Resistance, just to name a few.

Next time you go to Disney World, however, there’s something else you need to add to your itinerary: a trip to Disney Springs!
Disney Springs is the main shopping and dining district at Disney World. It’s full of some top-notch restaurants, the largest Disney store in the actual world, and some lively entertainment!
We’re telling you why you need to plan a Disney Springs visit on your next Walt Disney World vacation.
Dining
Some of the best restaurants on Disney World property are actually located in Disney Springs! You could easily dine at Disney Springs for every meal on your vacation and STILL not try everything that there is to try. One of our favorites is Morimoto Asia, a Signature Restaurant requiring two Dining Plan credits for dinner and a Table Service restaurant requiring one DDP credit for lunch. Morimoto Asia serves up delicious Japanese Wagyu Beef on its regular menu and plenty of tasty options as well.

There’s also Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming! From traditional Southern flavors to quintessential Southern hospitality, this restaurant has it all!

Feeling a little less hungry and a little more thirsty? There are some spectacular bars in Disney Springs, too! Stop by Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar for a cocktail or two; Indiana Jones fans will be particularly hooked on this bar!

Wine Bar George is another favorite amongst Disney Springs enthusiasts. With more than 100 selections of wine to choose from, you’ll need to come back on several Disney World vacations to try it all!

Shopping
When Downtown Disney was reimagined to become Disney Springs, it became THE shopping destination at Disney World. It is, of course, home to World of Disney, the largest Disney store in the world! Needless to say, you should be able to find what you’re looking for at World of Disney.

But there’s way more to Disney Springs than just Disney souvenirs! There’s an entire outlet mall atmosphere filled with brands like Kate Spade, Anthropologie, Uniqlo, and Vera Bradley. It’s not hard to leave Disney Springs with several bags full of treasures (and an empty wallet) to bring home with you!

Entertainment
If you’re only looking at Disney Springs as a place just for dining and shopping, you’re missing the boat! Disney Springs is also an entertainment destination in Disney World. They are a residency location for Cirque du Soleil, with their new show Drawn to Life coming soon!

You can also stop by some of their restaurants and bars to take in some lively entertainment. There’s nightly entertainment at Raglan Road, with festive Irish music and step dancing!

House of Blues also has a full lineup on concerts that take place throughout the year!

The Edison is a lively bar that truly comes alive at night, with music and cabaret performances. They’re also known for hosting some pretty spectacular Halloween and New Year’s parties.

And then of course there’s the Marketplace Stage, an open-air stage which hosts events including Disney Performing Arts, DJ Kids Dance Parties, and more!

We’ve barely begun to scratch the surface at everything that Disney Springs has to offer (NBA Experience! Cars that drive on water!)! This shopping and dining district is an excellent way to take a break from the parks and experience Disney World in a totally different way, great for a date night as well as for the whole family.
